Donate Your Human Milk

 

You can help keep a baby healthy and thriving by donating a minimum of 50 ounces to the Mothers’ Milk Bank California in San Jose, CA, or the UC Health Milk Bank at UC San Diego, CA.

The Mothers’ Milk Bank California process to become a donor consists of the following steps:

    • submit an initial screening questionnaire
    • complete a phone screening interview
    • submit a donor packet and medical consent forms
    • complete a bloodwork screening

There is no cost to you, all screening fees and shipping will be paid by Mothers’ Milk Bank California. Milk storage bags and shipping containers will be provided to you at no cost.

To become a no-cost donor to the UC Health Milk Bank you will be led step-by-step through the donating process in their online portal. You will be able to complete your registration and paperwork, access your account, schedule your donation and blood test, and communicate with your milk bank coordinator. You will also be able to engage with other donors through our online communities and have access to a number of educational materials.
